These are My Reflections..........
I am a Proud Native of Fayetteville, North Carolina where I spent my childhood years until moving to the Atlanta, Georgia area.
Growing up at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, I found so much enjoyment listening to audiocassettes of my childhood pastor sermons,Dr. Aaron J. Johnson. From time to time, I would make copies of those sermons and pass them out to people that I knew along with constantly driving my sisters and brother crazy playing it through the house. During my childhood, I didn't know that God was developing a gift within me for his glory.
As I entered American Intercontinental University as a student majoring in Media Production, I truly knew that I would make a difference through Media Production. I had the opportunity to work in local churches as a Sound Engineer, Camera Operator, and Video Technical Director. I am forever grateful to those who continue to mentor me as I continue to Spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Video Production. God has blessed me from that little boy who would make audiocassette copies of sermons to being a Christian Video Editor for numerous pastors and ministers across this nation.
Who Gave me the Trademark name "BROTHA ROLLINS"
A lady from the Mothers Board by the name of Geneva Burse who is now a minister. Mother Burse voice and how she acknowledged me on Sundays solidified my trademark name, she never said Brother but I always transcribed it as Brotha from her pronunciation.
My Top 2 Favorite Preachers are....
Rev. Clay Evans and Bishop G.E. Patterson
Pastor Evans and Bishop Patterson were truly great pastors but they were the best when it came to TV/Media Ministry. As a child growing up, I still have fond memories of getting ready for Sunday School and Church while watching Bishop Patterson Bountiful Blessings Broadcast on BET at 8:30am EST. I can still see and hear Bishop Patterson words "Bishop GE Patterson, that's Gilbert Earl Patterson, P.O. Box 1 Memphis, TN 38101. Then I came to know of the ministry of Rev. Clay Evans, 1st Pastor of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church Chicago, IL! Rev. Evans ministry as a pastor along with his media ministry really blessed my life from his choir on down to his preaching really had an impact on my life. Bishop Patterson and Pastor Evans seriously paved the way for Media Ministry in the life of Christian Worship in the African American Church which really influenced me in what I do as Media Specialist.
Over these years, I have truly enjoyed seeing people come to Jesus Christ from behind the scenes whether it be from being a camera operator or working in the media control room. I strive each day to create videos that will bring joy, encouragement, and inspiration to someone life. There is more that I have to learn on this journey because your never to old to learn new things because it's my desire to go higher.
YOUTUBE
Well it all started in the year 2007 with editing and adding videos to this great advertisement site called YouTUBE! Countless testimonies and beautiful expressions from many has impacted many lives for Jesus Christ. It's my prayer that the Videos 4 Christ channel will lead people to Jesus Christ and encourage those who need encouragement from the preached word of God through video. I do my part in praying for all the subscribers, ministers, and supporters who are connected to this channel.
I have many goals, future accomplishments and visions for my life as a Media Specialist for the Body of Christ. I see myself traveling across this nation helping churches "Spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Media Production"
These are my reflections and continue to pray for Videos 4 Christ, Our Video Channel, and of course the Video Editor-Brotha Rollins!
